Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who is this conference for?

The content of the presentations will be designed to be applicable to current and future band directors of all grade levels. The conference is designed to help teachers improve their instrument and rehearsal pedagogy. We hope to have representation from across the state!

  • Can future band educators attend?

Absolutely! This conference will be a great opportunity for future music teachers to learn practical information to improve their teaching and network with veteran teachers in the profession.

  • Will this conference provide professional development hours for teachers?

YES! District 214 will be sponsoring the professional development hours for this conference. Educators will receive 7.5 professional development hours for each day of the conference for a total of 30 hours across the four days.

  • What if I can only attend one day of the conference?

In registration we have two options: a one day pass and a four day pass. This will allow flexibility for any educators that have conflicts with certain days.

  • I'm from out of town, where can I stay?

Our district works with a local Hampton Inn that is located five minutes away from John Hersey High School.

Address: 1 Randhurst Village Dr, Mt Prospect, IL 60056

  • If my school would like to make out a check instead of using a credit card, how can I pay?
